London (ANN) – Arabsiyo News has officially returned to YouTube after a five-week suspension, announcing the restoration of its channel and issuing a public apology to its viewers and supporters.
In a statement shared with Araweelo News Network – Associated Online Agencies, the management expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the outlet during the suspension, including viewers, media organizations, public figures, and members of the Somali community, particularly in the Republic of Somaliland.
The statement said the channel’s return followed extensive discussions and negotiations with the platform, allowing Arabsiyo News to resume broadcasting officially.
“First and foremost, all praise is due to Allah (SWT),” the statement read. “We are pleased to announce to our viewers, leaders, and the wider Somali community that, after lengthy discussions and negotiations, the Arabsiyo News YouTube channel has been restored and is now officially back online.”
The management also offered a sincere apology over the circumstances that led to the suspension and thanked supporters whose encouragement and solidarity helped sustain the organization throughout the five-week period.
Arabsiyo News further acknowledged the efforts of its staff, partners, and fellow media organizations that advocated for the restoration of the channel and helped ensure its voice could once again reach audiences.
The channel’s return has attracted attention within Somali media circles, where discussions continue over media freedom, digital platform moderation, and the challenges faced by independent news organizations operating on global social media platforms.
