Araghchi Holds Talks with Saudi FM and Pakistan Army Chief on Regional Security

Tehran (ANN)– Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi continued his diplomatic consultations on regional developments by holding separate telephone conversations with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, Araghchi’s second phone call with the Saudi foreign minister within 24 hours focused on the latest diplomatic initiatives aimed at preserving and strengthening security and stability across West Asia.
In a separate conversation, Araghchi and Field Marshal Asim Munir discussed issues of mutual concern, including regional developments and the ongoing tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
IRNA reported that both the Saudi and Pakistani officials stressed the importance of regional cooperation and political dialogue as the preferred path toward reducing tensions and promoting stability.
The discussions come amid heightened tensions in the Persian Gulf following renewed U.S. military strikes on Iran. Iran says the attacks occurred after a Pakistan-mediated understanding reached in June to halt hostilities.
Iran has responded with missile and drone strikes targeting U.S. military bases and assets in the region. Iranian officials claim the attacks caused significant damage and casualties, although those claims have not been independently verified, and U.S. authorities have not confirmed the reported losses.
