Tehran- Washington  (ANN)- Confusion and skepticism continue to grow following repeated reports by several American media outlets claiming that JD Vance is en route to Islamabad for potential negotiations.

According to these reports, this marks the fifth time such claims have surfaced, often citing “well-informed sources” within the White House. However, in each instance, no official confirmation or visible arrival has followed, raising serious questions about the credibility and intent behind the reports.
In some versions of the story, other figures such as Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have also been mentioned as part of a supposed delegation—yet similarly, no verifiable developments have materialized.

Meanwhile, sources linked to Tasnim News Agency suggest that the ongoing media narrative may be part of a broader effort to shape global perceptions—particularly influencing oil markets and public opinion within Iran and beyond.

At the same time, diplomatic prospects remain uncertain. Iranian officials have reportedly maintained their decision not to participate in proposed talks in Islamabad, citing continued US pressure, including a naval blockade and what they describe as excessive demands.
Adding to the tension, reports indicate that Iran has been preparing for the possibility of renewed conflict. According to Tasnim, military repositioning has taken place over the past two weeks, alongside the identification of new potential targets in the event of escalation involving the United States and Israel.
While such claims remain difficult to independently verify, they point to a broader climate of uncertainty as a fragile ceasefire period approaches its end.
Analysts note that the conflicting reports and absence of concrete developments underscore the role of information warfare in modern geopolitical crises—where narratives can be as influential as actions on the ground.
For now, it remains unclear whether any high-level diplomatic movement toward Pakistan will materialize, or whether the reports are part of a wider strategy aimed at shaping expectations in a volatile region.
