Kampala (ANN) — Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House in Entebbe on Thursday, where the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Somalia and Uganda.
Their talks focused on expanding cooperation in key areas, particularly security collaboration, while also addressing regional peace, stability, and development across the Horn of Africa.
The leaders also exchanged views ahead of the AUSSOM Troop Contributing Countries Summit, reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing Somalia’s security and supporting ongoing efforts to combat terrorism through regional cooperation.
The meeting underscores the close partnership between Somalia and Uganda, with Kampala remaining one of the largest contributors of peacekeeping troops supporting stability and security efforts in Somalia.
