President Irro’s Landmark Address Signals New Era of Growth and International Breakthrough for Somaliland

Over 6,000 newly trained soldiers joined the armed forces

A Cyber Security Unit and military data center were established
A mobile salary payment system ensured direct payments to soldiers
He also highlighted progress in peacebuilding efforts across eastern regions, including Sanaag and ongoing dialogue efforts in Sool, particularly around Las Anod.
Governance, Justice, and Democracy
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to:
Fighting corruption and strengthening institutions
Expanding community courts to enhance access to justice

Somaliland is advancing toward digital governance through:

President Irro revealed that Israel has officially recognized Somaliland, calling it a “historic step” toward broader international recognition.
