TEHRAN (ANN)– Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) claimed that its Aerospace Force carried out strikes against the US Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan, alleging that the operation destroyed hangars housing American F-15, F-16, and F-35 fighter jets.
According to a statement carried by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC also claimed that several MQ-9 Reaper strategic drones were destroyed during what it described as a new wave of military operations targeting US military assets in the region.
The report did not provide independent evidence to support the claims, and no information was released regarding the extent of the alleged damage or casualties.
As of publication, US military officials and the Jordanian government had not publicly confirmed the reported attack or the destruction of aircraft and drones.
The claims come amid heightened military tensions in the Middle East, with both sides exchanging statements and operations that have further raised concerns over regional security. Independent verification of battlefield claims remains limited.
