Tehran / Manama / Washington/ Moscow (ANN) – Reports from Bahraini media say an interceptor missile from the U.S. Patriot air defense system crashed into residential homes in Bahrain, injuring several civilians.
According to local sources, the Patriot missile experienced a technical malfunction after being launched from the American defense system stationed in the country. The missile reportedly fell into a residential neighborhood on Monday.
The incident occurred after air defense systems were activated overnight to intercept missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military facilities in the region, including Isa Air Base in southern Bahrain.
Bahraini media indicated that U.S. Patriot missile batteries have been positioned close to residential areas. Some reports claim the deployment near civilian neighborhoods reflects concerns in Washington that the systems could be targeted by advanced Iranian missiles.
Critics cited by regional media allege the systems are placed within populated areas as a form of protection against attacks, though U.S. officials have not publicly commented on the claim.
Trump: Iran War Could End Soon
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said the war involving Iran may soon conclude. Speaking in remarks reported by CBS News, Trump said the conflict had progressed faster than expected compared with earlier estimates that the war might last four to five weeks.
Trump also said he has considered a potential successor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, though he did not reveal any names.

Iran Warns Neighboring Countries Over Missile Launches
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reacted to images released by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) showing the use of HIMARS missile systems during strikes inside Iran.
Araghchi said the images confirm that missile attacks against Iran are being launched from neighboring countries, noting that the HIMARS system has an approximate range of 500 kilometers.
“We are grateful to CENTCOM for openly admitting that HIMARS systems are being used from neighboring countries to attack our people,” Araghchi said.
He warned that Iran could respond by targeting those systems wherever they are deployed if the attacks continue.
Regional Tensions Continue to Escalate
Meanwhile, missiles continue to bombard key areas across the region while drones remain active in the skies, highlighting the intensity of the ongoing conflict. The Middle East has increasingly become filled with military hardware, including advanced weapons systems, warships, and combat aircraft.
Despite the growing escalation, no major diplomatic movement has yet emerged capable of halting the expanding war, which analysts warn is already affecting global trade routes, energy markets, and the economic stability of several regions.
The conflict is also beginning to affect the daily lives of millions of people, raising fears that the crisis could widen further if diplomatic solutions are not urgently pursued.
