Riyadh(ANN)-Saudi authorities have arrested Prince Khaled Bin Talal Bin Abdelaziz, member of the Board of Trustees, for the second time, a few days after the death of his father Prince Talal, one of the historical advocates of reform in Saudi Arabia.

Media sources pointed out that the arrest warrants were issued by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman against his cousin.

The prince was arrested on Wednesday morning, no charges were brought against him.

Prince Khaled was previously arrested in January and released on 3 November. He has defended the rights of detainees held in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel last year to a fair trial. His brother was amongst those held in what was publicly said to be an “anti-corruption” campaign led by the crown prince.

Prince Khaled was released under pressure from Prince Ahmed Bin Abdelaziz, who stipulated the release of princes among the conditions of his return to the kingdom in October.
