Doha  (ANN) – Tensions across the Middle East intensified on Sunday as armed groups, governments, and regional officials reacted to the expanding conflict involving Israel, Iran, and the United States, while several Gulf states reported security incidents linked to the escalating war.
Abu Obaida, the military spokesman for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, praised Lebanese fighters affiliated with Hezbollah, describing their operations against Israeli forces as “heroic.”
In a statement, Abu Obaida said the Lebanese fighters had inflicted significant losses on Israeli forces and struck strategic targets deep inside Israel.
“We stand firmly with the resistors as they exercise their right to defend their land and national sovereignty against ongoing aggression,” he said.
Security Incidents Reported in Gulf States
Meanwhile, Gulf authorities reported several security incidents believed to be connected to the widening regional conflict.

According to the Emirates News Agency, emergency services in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, responded to a fire in the FOIZ petroleum storage area after falling shrapnel ignited a blaze. Authorities confirmed that the situation was brought under control and no casualties were reported.
In Kuwait, the military said a drone attack targeted a government office building housing the headquarters of the Public Institution for Social Security. The incident was reported by Reuters, with officials confirming the building sustained damage.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia announced that air defense systems intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle that was heading toward the Al‑Shaybah Oil Field, one of the kingdom’s major oil production facilities.
Oman Calls for Ceasefire and Diplomacy
Amid the escalating hostilities, Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman, strongly criticized the military actions of Israel and the United States against Iran, describing them as “immoral and illegal.”
Speaking via video conference during an extraordinary ministerial meeting of the League of Arab States, Albusaidi also condemned Iranian retaliatory strikes that have affected neighboring countries.
He called for restraint from all parties, urging an immediate ceasefire and a return to diplomatic solutions to prevent further regional escalation.
Regional observers warn that the growing number of attacks and retaliatory strikes across the Gulf and wider Middle East could further widen the conflict unless urgent diplomatic efforts succeed in halting the violence.
