Israel launched the offensive with great difficulty, not yet achieved victory in the twenty-month Gaza

Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Tehran (ANN)-The attacks on both sides since Friday have intensified as Israel and Iran exchanged fire, with explosions heard in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Tehran.

A fierce battle broke out between Israel and Iran last night, with both sides exchanging fire and explosions heard in the cities of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Tehran.

Iran has launched a wave of missiles in retaliation for the Israeli strikes on Friday on Iranian nuclear facilities, which killed top commanders and six scientists. Iran confirmed the claims of military officials.

Meinwhile, Behrouz Kamalvandi, the spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (A.E.O.I.), says that Israeli attacks on nuclear infrastructure caused no loss of life.He said, Israeli strikes have caused only limited surface damage to affected sites in Natanz, Fordo, and Isfahan, Kamalvandi told Iranian local media on Friday. Also, he reassured the public that key nuclear components were safeguarded due to earlier precautionary measures.

Much of the critical equipment and material had been relocated to secure facilities in anticipation of potential threats.

Highlighting Iran’s technical capabilities and the dedication of its nuclear experts, Kamalvandi said that all damages would be swiftly repaired, potentially improving the original infrastructure.

Iran’s state news agency recently announced that Iran had successfully struck Israeli targets in response to the regime’s aggression.

The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran says it has successfully destroyed targets in the occupied territories of Israel in the wake of Israeli strikes against the Islamic Republic.

Accong In a statement on Saturday, Irainan Army said that its forces hit the targets inside the occupied territories early on Saturday.

The Army penetrated the Zionist territories with suicide drones named Arash.

Israeli media reported the launch of a fifth wave of Iranian missile strikes against locations across the occupied territories, including positions in Tiberias, occupied Golan, and Lower Galilee.

The reactions come as the Israeli regime waged a series of military strikes in and near the Iranian capital, Tehran, as well as other Iranian cities overnight on Friday. In a major escalation, the Tel Aviv regime also targeted residential buildings in and near Tehran.

Accoding to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA ),  The Israeli military also carried out targeted strikes against Iran’s top military brass. Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri and Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami were among the senior military officials assassinated in Tehran.

Meinwhile, Iran’s Envoy to the United Nations Sa’eed Iravani offered the casualty toll in a speech before an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

Accoding to IRNA – Iran’s Envoy to the United Nations Sa’eed Iravani says 78 people, including senior military officials, have been killed and 320 injured so far in Israeli strikes.

Iravani offered the casualty toll in a speech before an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss the Israeli strikes on Iran.

Overnight on Friday, the Israeli regime began a series of military strikes in and near the Iranian capital, Tehran, as well as other Iranian cities. In a major escalation, the Tel Aviv regime also targeted residential buildings in and near Tehran.

The Israeli and Iranian attacks came two days before US-Iran talks. the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei says Tehran’s decision to attend the next round of negotiations with the U.S. remains unclear.

Speaking to IRIB on Iran’s decision to attend the sixth round of talks with the U.S. in Muscat, Baqaei said it is inconceivable for Iran to imagine the Israeli regime committing such warmongering in the region without U.S. coordination or deliberate approval.

The other party acted in a way that effectively rendered negotiations meaningless, he added.

We hold the U.S. Administration responsible for the consequences of this reckless and illegal action by the Israeli regime, he noted.

Earlier on June 10, Baqaei said the Islamic Republic and the United States will hold the newest round of talks in Muscat on June 15, with Oman as the mediator.

Iran and the United States have held five rounds of talks mediated by Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi, three in Muscat and two in Rome.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, on Friday has condemned the Israeli aggression against Iranian territories.

Hussein, expressed his deep condolences for the martyrdom of high-ranking commanders of the Iranian armed forces, nuclear scientists, university professors, and civilians, calling for the global condemnation of this heinous crime committed by the criminal Zionist regime.

Fuad Hussein called Israeli attack a gross violation of Iran’s national sovereignty, the international law and the United Nations Charter.

“We see it as a war of defence,” Ami Ayalon, the former head of Israel’s security agency Shin Bet, and commander in chief of the Israeli Navy, told the BBC’s Newshour programme this morning.

“Most Israelis see Iran as major existential threat,” he explains.

“They are very, very close to reaching a military nuclear capability – as I understand our intelligence, it was clear from now on we will not have the ability [to strike] if we do not do it now.”

Asked by presenter Celia Hatton about the role of US President Donald Trump in the strikes, Ayalon says: “He gave the impression to our prime minister that he will support everything our prime minister will do.”

He adds that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will “play the bad guy” and attack, “and America will be the good guy… a day later when Iran understands the consequences of not signing” a nuclear deal with the US, then “it will be easier for (Trump) to achieve this deal.”

The attacks on both sides have heightened regional tensions, with similar attacks taking place between Israel and Iran last year. But the current attacks appear to be on a larger scale, with casualties far greater than previous attacks between Iran and Israel.

Israel launched the offensive with great difficulty, having not yet achieved victory in the twenty-month war with Hamas, which has caused problems with shipping traffic in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden for cargo ships, as well as air traffic for aircraft.
