Washington (ANN)- Former U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor has accused the administration of Donald Trump of misleading the American public about the true situation of U.S. military forces in the escalating Middle East conflict.
In a strongly worded statement circulating online, Macgregor claimed that the public narrative presented by the U.S. government and major media outlets does not reflect the reality on the ground.
“Trump is lying to you. All of our military bases have been damaged,” Macgregor said, alleging that American positions across the region have been struck during the ongoing hostilities involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
The former Pentagon adviser further accused what he described as the “military-industrial complex” and mainstream media organizations of downplaying the scale of the confrontation.
According to Macgregor, Russia and China are allegedly providing advanced satellite intelligence to Iran, which he claims has helped Iranian forces achieve operational successes against Israeli and American targets.
He warned that such intelligence-sharing could significantly alter the dynamics of the conflict.
Macgregor also expressed concern for U.S. troops deployed across the region, arguing that continued escalation could place American service members at greater risk.
“The military-industrial complex are cheerleading a slaughter while our service members are sitting ducks,” he said.
However, Macgregor’s remarks remain unverified, and there has been no official confirmation from the United States Department of Defense or other government authorities supporting his claim that all U.S. bases in the region have been damaged.
Military analysts note that while tensions in the Middle East have intensified, independent verification of battlefield claims from any side remains difficult due to the ongoing information war surrounding the conflict.
