Sources: Israel and Saudi Officials Meet U.S. Leaders on Iran as Trump Weighs Strikes
Washington (ANN)– Senior defense and intelligence officials from Israel and Saudi Arabia have arrived in the United States this week for high-level discussions focused on Iran, according to four sources familiar with the matter who spoke to Axios. The talks come as President Donald J. Trump weighs the possibility of military strikes amid rising regional tensions.
Israeli officials traveled to Washington to share intelligence requested by the U.S. administration regarding potential targets inside Iran. Israel’s Chief of Military Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, held meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday with senior officials at the Pentagon, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the White House, the sources said.
The consultations underscore growing coordination between Washington and its regional allies as concerns mount over Iran’s military activities and the risk of broader conflict in the Middle East. The presence of Saudi officials further highlights the regional dimension of the discussions, reflecting shared anxieties over Tehran’s actions and the strategic balance in the Gulf.
The White House has not publicly commented on the meetings, but the talks signal intensified diplomatic and intelligence engagement as the Trump administration considers its next steps.
