TEHRAN (ANN) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced a new phase of retaliatory military operations, stating that its forces carried out coordinated missile and drone attacks against United States and Israeli-linked targets across multiple locations in the region.
According to Iranian News agency (Tasnim) In a statement released on Sunday, March 29, the IRGC said the 86th wave of its ongoing campaign, known as “True Promise 4,” was launched in a multi-stage operation involving both its Aerospace Force and Naval units. The operation reportedly targeted airbases, drone infrastructure, and weapons depots used by US forces, including facilities in Arifjan, Al Kharj, and other strategic sites.
According to the statement, the initial phase focused on military infrastructure, while subsequent waves struck what Iran described as “hideouts” of US and Israeli forces, as well as affiliated groups. Areas mentioned include Tel Aviv, the Negev, Erbil, and the operational zone of the United States Fifth Fleet. The IRGC also claimed strikes near Al Dhafra and other regional military points.
Iranian officials stated that visible explosions and damage to what they described as advanced US military equipment demonstrate the scale and effectiveness of the attacks. They further accused Western-aligned governments and media outlets of attempting to downplay or suppress reports of the incidents.
The escalation follows a dramatic deterioration in regional security after Iran accused the United States and Israel of launching a large-scale military campaign against the country. Tehran claims the conflict was triggered by the assassination of Ali Khamenei, along with senior military figures and civilians in late February—28 2026.
