Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Tehran (ANN) —Tensions across the Gulf region escalated dramatically after Iran issued an urgent warning calling on residents and workers to immediately evacuate areas surrounding key ports in the United Arab Emirates, including Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah Port.
Iranian officials said the warning came in response to what Tehran described as U.S. military strikes on Iran’s strategic oil facilities on Kharg Island, a critical hub that handles the majority of Iran’s oil exports.
