Tehran (ANN)- Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on international organizations to strongly condemn what he described as the “crimes and aggression” carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran.
According to Iran’s state news agency Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), President Pezeshkian urged global institutions, particularly the United Nations and the United Nations Security Council, to take firm action against the ongoing military attacks and hold those responsible accountable under international law.
The Iranian president made the remarks during discussions with international leaders about the escalating conflict in the region. He said the attacks had targeted civilian infrastructure and ordinary people, warning that continued silence from international bodies could threaten regional and global security.
Pezeshkian stressed that the international community has a responsibility to defend the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law. He argued that failure to condemn the attacks would encourage further instability across the Middle East and beyond.
Iranian officials also reiterated that the country considers self-defense a legitimate right under international law, emphasizing that Tehran will continue to defend its sovereignty while pursuing diplomatic efforts to prevent wider regional escalation.
The statement comes as tensions remain high following a series of military exchanges between Iran and the United States and Israel, raising global concerns about the potential expansion of the conflict and its impact on regional stability and international trade.
