“The attacks a tragic day for international law and the Non-Proliferation Treaty, warning that such actions erode trust in US diplomacy.” International affairs expert Glenn Diesen.

Middle East Tehran (ANN)-Iran’s foreign minister warned of “everlasting consequences” to the “outrageous” strikes. Its elite military force, the Revolutionary Guard, warned that US bases and forces in the region were “vulnerable”. Iran’s Parliament backed the closure of the Strait of Hormuz – a key transit route for global oil supplies.

Iran’s immediate response was to fire a new barrage of missiles at Israel, which began the war when it attacked Iran’s nuclear sites ten days ago. Iranian missiles hit residential buildings in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa, injuring around 80 people.

President Donald Trump claimed the US strikes had “totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities, and told Tehran to “make peace” or face “far greater” attacks in future.

On the other hand, China strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a violation of international law and a reminder of the world community’s memory of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan, which caused historical losses. In an exclusive interview with Al Arabia, Dr. Victor Gao, Vice President of the Center for China and Globalization, expressed concern about the situation in the Middle East that is on the verge of a third world war , which he said is intolerable.

Dr. Victor Gao, Vice President of the Center for China and Globalization, condemns Israel’s military strikes on Iran, calling it a “war of aggression.” He says China deplores the attacks and urges both Israel and the US to stop escalation. Gao defends China’s relationship with Iran, rejects US sanctions, and warns that any further aggression could destabilize the entire region.

Meinwhile, International affairs expert Glenn Diesen contact by firstpos analysed the recent US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, highlighting the use of deception and surprise, with Israel and the US simulating disagreement to mislead Iran. Diesen noted Trump’s strategy of feigning indecision before authorising the strikes and efforts to mask the operation with decoy flights.

Related: Iranian Foreign Minister said there was no room for negotiations with the U.S.

He called the attacks a tragic day for international law and the Non-Proliferation Treaty, warning that such actions erode trust in US diplomacy. Diesen expects Iran to retaliate in a measured way to avoid escalation, while also seeking to maintain support from Russia and China. He emphasised that Iran’s response will likely target key trade routes, including the Strait of Hormuz.
