Middle East: tensions escalate Iran – Israel

Tel Aviv (ANN)- Dozens of Iranian ballistic missiles struck Tel Aviv and Be’er Sheva overnight. A missile hit the Soroka Hospital, injuring civilians and crippling infrastructure. Israel vows harsh retaliation after key financial and medical sites were damaged.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh has warned US President Donald Trump against getting involved in a war that he said was “not his war”. He also said it would result in “hell” for the whole region. Iran cancelled nuclear talks with the US last Sunday, saying they needed to respond to Israel’s attack on Friday. Since then, the two countries have continued to exchange fire.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has long warned that Iran is close to developing nuclear weapons – Tehran has insisted its nuclear programme is peaceful. Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister spoke to BBC’s Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucet.

Meinwhile Iraq’s top Shia leader Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani has warned there will be “dire consequences on the region” if Iran’s “supreme religious and political leadership” are targeted.

The escalation of the war is a daily occurrence, with missiles and drones flying over both sides, with regional and European countries watching, and there are arguments that the halls weapons in Iran of power in Washington cannot change anything even if the United States directly enters the war.

According to military and strategic analysts from the far reaches DC, who cannot predict what will happen, but Trump’s political agenda is a constant, ever-changing one.

Pyongyang labeled Israel:

Agency (KCNA) North Korea has issued a scathing condemnation of Israel’s recent military strikes on Iran, calling the actions a “crime against humanity” and accusing Tel Aviv of “state-sponsored terrorism.” In a strongly worded statement via the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Pyongyang labeled Israel a “cancer-like entity” for peace in the Middle East and warned that continued Western support for Israeli aggression could trigger a full-scale regional war.

As tensions escalate, North Korea’s backing of Iran adds a dangerous new layer to the volatile situation, with the U.S., Russia, and China closely watching the unfolding crisis.
