Tehran (ANN)- Iran has issued a strong military and political response following continued U.S.-led operations in the region.
Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, stated that Tehran retains strategic control over the trajectory of the conflict, saying:
“We decide when and how the war will end. The United States has started the game, but we have the whistle to end it.”
Araghchi further claimed that Iran has studied the military campaigns of the United States over the past two decades across multiple global theaters. He said Iran has applied those lessons to its defense strategy, emphasizing that external attacks on Tehran would not significantly weaken Iran’s war capabilities.
Iran’s Defense Strategy Claims
Iranian officials highlighted what they call a “Mosaic Defense System”, describing it as a decentralized and integrated military network designed to maintain operational continuity even if key command or infrastructure targets are attacked.
According to Iranian statements, strikes on capital cities or leadership facilities are unlikely to significantly disrupt their military readiness.
Regional Context
The statements come amid escalating tensions involving the United States and Iran, with operations reportedly expanding across air, naval, and cyber domains. The United States continues to conduct operations under strategic command structures led by United States Department of Defense.
Global Impact
Energy markets and maritime security remain highly vulnerable, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, as global shipping and oil transit routes face disruption risks.
