Mogadishu(ANN)Daljir Party, which holds the attainment of political stability through dialogue as one of its principles, welcomes the Somali Federal Parliament’s decision on 06 Dec. 2014 which ended the long standing difference and political in-fighting between the top leaders of the Somali Federal Government. Daljir Party also congratulates the two groups of parliamentarians, who held opposing views on the motion of confidence or lack of it of the government led by His Excellency Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed, on the discharge of their national obligation and their mutual understanding of settling differences through dialogue and legal means and processes.

•Daljir Party believes that the often recurring political in-fighting between the top echelons of the Somali Nation has a damaging effect on the public perception of the authority of the government and has a profound regressive effect on the smooth functioning of the government institutions and administration, which are just beginning to emerge from the long standing Somali conflict, absence of government and central authority.

Daljir party, therefore, encourages the reviewing of the Draft Constitution and the search for a permanent solution to the differences of interpretation of the Presidency and the Executive powers and once for all delineate the constitutional powers of these offices.

•Daljir Party is concerned of the stalemate and delay of the implementation of the activities of the executive and legislative branches of government, which has been marred by in-fighting and instability during the last two years of this government. Daljir Party, therefore, encourages the Somali Federal Government and the Somali Federal Parliament to speed up the realization of the Vision 2016. It is also Daljir Party’s contention that, in order to bring back the unity of the state and government institutions and to nurture

public confidence in their government, the next government should be characterized with national unity of purpose and consensus.

•Daljir Party is deeply perturbed by the fact that Somalia holds the first position in the Global Index of Corruption and as well is one of the poorest nations on earth. Daljir Party proposes, therefore, that the next government should redouble its efforts in the fight against corruption that has marred the reputation of our government and state institutions. To this end, Daljir party proposes the establishment of an independent commission on corruption.

•Daljir Party expresses its gratitude to the International Community for its unwavering support to the Somali People in its search of the re-establishment of the defunct Somali State. Similarly, Daljir Party also expresses its appreciation to the Somali people for their incessant and continual endeavors in the re-establishment of a viable Somali State that can stand on its own feet.

•Lastly but not least, Daljir Party advises all the Somali institutions to bring all their efforts together for ending the conflict and the realization of peace, which is the key for progress and social development.
