Hargeisa (ANN) – The Government of Somaliland has announced the arrest of a network allegedly involved in activities aimed at undermining the country’s security and stability.
The Minister of Interior, Abdalah Mohammed Arab , addressed the media in Hargeisa>, stating that security agencies successfully carried out a planned operation leading to the capture of individuals said to be part of the network.
According to the Minister:
The network was allegedly engaged in acts intended to create insecurity and public unrest.
Security forces had been monitoring the group for some time.
Investigations are ongoing.
Those arrested will be brought before the courts once investigations are completed.
He called on the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and to refrain from spreading unverified information on social media, warning that misinformation can cause confusion and threaten national stability.
The government reaffirmed that safeguarding national security remains a top priority and emphasized that firm action will be taken against anyone found attempting to disrupt peace and order in Somaliland.
