Dubai (ANN)— The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro), is continuing his official working visit to the United Arab Emirates, where he is participating in major international diplomatic and economic engagements.
Recent reports confirm that President Cirro is attending the World Governments Summit in Dubai, marking his second consecutive year at the global gathering, which brings together heads of state, ministers, and global policy leaders to discuss governance, development, and international cooperation.

The summit is widely seen as a key platform for strengthening Somaliland’s international visibility and expanding diplomatic and economic partnerships with global actors.

Diplomatic Engagements and UK Relation
During his visit, Somaliland officials highlighted the importance of strengthening historical and diplomatic ties with international partners, particularly the United Kingdom, which maintains longstanding historical links with Somaliland.
Separate reports indicate that high-level diplomatic social events in Dubai have brought together international political figures, including British royalty and parliamentarians, reflecting Somaliland’s expanding diplomatic outreach.

Meanwhile, The Spokesperson of the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Hussein Adan Cige (Deyr), confirmed that President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro) and his delegation attended an official dinner last night in Dubai.
According to the spokesperson, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, who was attending official engagements and major events in Dubai at the same time, also participated in the dinner together with the Somaliland delegation.
The Prince was accompanied by British political figures and officials, reflecting the level of diplomatic engagement taking place during the visit.

Israel Partnership Discussions
In parallel with summit activities, President Cirro gave an interview indicating that Somaliland expects to finalize a partnership agreement with Israel in the near future, focusing on economic cooperation and technology exchange.
According to reporting, Somaliland is seeking Israeli investment in sectors such as agriculture, technology, health, and broader economic development, while offering access to natural resources including minerals, oil, gas, fisheries, and livestock.
