Dubai (ANN) – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro), has attended the World Governments Summit for the second consecutive year. The international summit was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This marks the second time President Cirro has participated consecutively in the World Governments Summit, following his attendance at the 2025 summit, also held in Dubai.
The Spokesperson of the President of Somaliland, Hussein Adan Ige (Deyr), stated that the summit is one of the most important global gatherings, focusing on modern leadership, good governance, government development, and the future vision of the world.
The 2026 World Governments Summit brought together thousands of participants, including Heads of State, global leaders, Prime Ministers, ministers, international experts, major business leaders, and representatives from major international organizations. The wide level of participation reflects the summit’s influence in shaping global policy and development directions.
During the summit, the President is expected to hold productive meetings with international leaders and officials, where he will present Somaliland’s progress, stability, and future development vision.
Participation in the summit also provides significant diplomatic benefits for Somaliland, as it offers an important global platform for the country to present its governance experience, strengthen diplomatic relations, and expand international cooperation.
The spokesperson added that Somaliland’s participation in the summit for the second consecutive year reflects the continuous efforts of the Unity and Action Government to strengthen diplomatic relations, enhance Somaliland’s international image, and continue its efforts toward achieving full international recognition.
