Somaliland, Hargeisa (ANN)-The security of Hargeisa city has been greatly strengthened today, as Somaliland was visited by a heavy delegation from the Israeli government, which arrived today in Hargeisa city, the capital of the Republic of Somaliland.
According to the preliminary reports we have received from the reliable sources, the delegation is led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Gideon Saar, along with other officials from the Israeli government.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Gideon Saar, who led the delegation of Binu Israel, landed at Hargeisa’s Egal International Airport, where he was warmly welcomed and escorted to the presidency where he had an important meeting with the president of Somalilandand Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro) and other officials of the Government of the Republic of Somaliland.
There is no official news from the meeting, but it is expected that there will be important discussions about the cooperation between the two countries of Israel and Somaliland.
On December 26, 2025, it was the time when Israel directly recognized the independence of the Republic of Somaliland, Which greatly attracted the attention of the world, as the countries of Egypt, Turkey and Djibouti, which sided with the weak government in Mogadishu, criticized the recognition of Israel given to Somaliland.
