Here are a few things you can do to protect yourself and those around you:

Prepare, but don’t panic. Panic tends to lead to the spread of misinformation. We’ll get through this together.

Know the symptoms. They include a fever, cough or shortness of breath – and may appear two to 14 days after exposure. If you’re worried you’re experiencing symptoms, please contact your primary care provider first.

Stay home if you are sick. Going out could worsen the spread of the virus and endanger at-risk populations like our seniors.

Wash your hands regularly. Use soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching your face.

Cover your mouth and nose with your hand, elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
