Washington  (ANN)- U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated that a war with Iran was misguided and emphasized that he would prefer to avoid a prolonged conflict with the Islamic Republic.
In previous remarks about tensions with Iran, Trump stated that the United States would rather prevent war and pursue alternatives to a large-scale military confrontation. He noted that while Washington remains prepared militarily, avoiding a broader war remains the preferred option.
According Voice of America
Trump has repeatedly said he hopes conflict can be avoided, even while warning that the United States would respond with force if American interests or personnel were threatened.
Also CNBC His comments come amid escalating tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, with missile exchanges and military operations raising fears of a wider regional war across the Middle East.
Analysts say statements from Washington suggesting caution reflect growing international concern that further escalation could threaten global energy routes and destabilize the region.
