Ankara (ANN)- The Turkish government has clarified its strategic position on diplomatic relations between Somaliland and Israel.
The announcement of the Turkish Foreign Minister came After Prime Minister Nutaniahu’s Government recognized the Republic of Somaliland for 34 thirty years, stability and a democratic system have comeunderstood, even though there was no government that recognized what happened before Israel’s announcement that shook the diplomacy of the region and the world.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, gave details of the reasons why his government rejected the recognition of Somaliland and the existence of the Republic of Somaliland.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, said that Somaliland is in control of the strategic importance of the most important land in the African and Asian continents, which is the Berbera Bay in the southern part of the Gulf of Aden, which is the mouth and the entrance to the passagethe important port of Babul Mandab, which is where almost 20% of the shipments between Africa, Asia and Europe pass.
Fidan noted that they have already fought for the agreement between Somaliland and Ethiopia, but they are very concerned about the recognition of Somaliland in Israel, as he stated that they will try to prevent the recognition of Somaliland.
