Hargeisa {ANN)– The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Somaliland has approved a resolution resulting in disciplinary and punitive measures following deliberations held during its latest official session.

The meeting, chaired at the presidential palace, reviewed reports presented by senior officials and discussed matters related to governance, accountability, and the enforcement of state regulations. After extensive discussion, the Council reached a binding decision aimed at upholding institutional discipline and safeguarding the rule of law.

Officials emphasized that the resolution reflects the government’s commitment to transparency, responsibility, and adherence to constitutional principles.

The Council reiterated that no individual or institution is above the law, and that corrective measures are essential for effective public administration.

The resolution is expected to be implemented immediately in accordance with established legal and administrative procedures.

The meeting was chaired by the President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilaahi (Cirro), alongside Vice President Mohamed Aw Ali. Senior members of the Council of Ministers attended the session, which focused on matters of national governance, constitutional responsibility, and state cohesion.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Presidential Spokesperson, Hussein Aden Cigge Dayr, briefed the media on nine key points contained in the Council’s decision.

The resolution emphasized constitutional obligations, national unity, and firm support for Somaliland’s recognition, reaffirming December 26, 2026, as a defining national milestone. The statement further stressed that Somaliland rejects all forms of foreign or internal interference in its sovereignty and internal affairs.
