Sudan grants Bashir-era officials 48 hours to leave government properties

Khartoum(ANN)-Sudan’s Transitional Military Council (TMC) yesterday ordered senior officials and employees of the country’s former federal government led by the ousted president Omar Al-Bashir, to evacuate all government residencies “immediately”.

The orders were sent in personal messages to the former officials.

The Sudanese authorities stressed that the evacuation “must be implemented within 48 hours at the maximum.” The houses included the homes of the ex-vice president and his assistants, as well as the residencies of Bashir-era ministers.

Most of the houses were reported to be located in the country’s capital city of Khartoum.
