Somaliland Legal Case

Historically: Somaliland was a separate political entity from Somalia; both before its union
with Somalia and after the state collapse in 1991.

Over 34 countries, including Egypt, Israel, and the five Permanent Members of the Security Council, recognised Somaliland diplomatically.

It is a paper written by author Mohamoud Hussein Farah Sallin, a legal scholar and the current chairman of the Somaliland Law Reform Committee.
The historical document was written during the time of the late former President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo.
