The individual in question is the Defense Minister of Villa-Somalia, who, just a week ago, was widely regarded as the least competent Foreign Minister. His tenure has been marked by a blatant disregard for diplomatic protocols, often acting impulsively and without a clear understanding of international relations. In a troubling turn, the faltering government of Villa-Somalia has now appointed him as Defence Minister, further compounding the lack of focus on essential duties.

At present, he is deeply entangled in affairs concerning the Awdal region of Somaliland. His intrusive actions are stoking discontent among the Awdal community, fueling sentiments that could lead to armed resistance not only against their own government but also against fellow citizens. This interference reflects a profound naivety on his part; he seems to be wandering through an illusion, utterly detached from the intricate political dynamics and the nuanced realities of governance that define the region. His miscalculations could have far-reaching consequences.

This so-called Defense Minister presides over a national army that, in reality, does not exist, casting significant doubt on his legitimacy and authority. His ties to his hometown of Kalcaya are tenuous at best, as he can only visit by air due to the pervasive instability in the region. Alarmingly, approximately 75% of Somalia is currently under the control of Al-Shabaab militants, a considerable number of whom are affiliated with his own clan. This alarming situation raises serious concerns about his ability to safeguard his region, positioning him as an obstacle to the aspirations and stability of Somaliland.

In stark contrast, the people and government of Somaliland stand resolutely united in their commitment to progress and statehood. After three and a half decades of tireless effort, resilience, and dedication, we have successfully built a functioning state from the ground up, free from the turmoil that plagues much of the surrounding area. Our advancements are exemplified by the six presidents we have democratically elected through overwhelming majority votes, a testament to the legitimacy and strength of the Republic of Somaliland. It is imperative that those in power address the pressing issues within their own ranks before they attempt to undermine or cast doubt on our hard-won achievements and sovereignty.

We want to make it absolutely clear to this reckless individual and his faction that Somaliland has no intention for  ever reuniting with South Somalia, regardless of the circumstances. Therefore, it is imperative that you prioritize the reconciliation among your federal states and focus on the genuine liberation of your nation. As it currently stands, you do not possess the characteristics of a sovereign state or a functioning government. Consequently, the international community, along with the African Union, is contemplating that your situation may require oversight under UN and AU trusteeship for a period of ten years. It is vital to recognize this impending reality and take necessary steps towards establishing a stable and cohesive governance structure within your territory.
