Nairobii (ANN)-The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilaahi (Ciro), who is still on his trip to Kenya, held a large meeting with Somaliland friends based in Kenya, discussing the importance of his stay in Nairobi and why the Republic of Somaliland is of great importance to t
he conflict-torn region of the Horn of Africa.
The President of the Republic of Somaliland, who was accompanied by members of his delegation and senior officials from the Embassy of
the Republic of Somaliland in Kenya, delivered a speech that attracted great attention. The officials from the international community included: Ambassadors, Deputy Ambassadors,
UN agencies, World Bank Presidents,
African Bank Presidents, and senior members from countries friendly to Somaliland that have cooperation in democracy, elections, and security.
Somaliland President, he delivered a speech outlining his Government’s plans in the areas of: Development, Peace, Democracy, Economy and the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Somaliland, saying, “Today we hav’not come here in Nairobi to beg for anything, we are not looking for papers, we are here to build real partnerships with governments, investors who understand the value of mutual benefit corparition”

Somaliland has been independent for more than thirty years, without any recognition from the international community, and without any support from foreign countries, “we have created democratic institutions,
