Djibouti (ANN) – The President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, has attacked the role of the growing role of African United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Africa is using the funding of military interests and interventions political in African countries.

President Gullulleh said in an interview with international media Radio France. Guelleh’s statement on the region regional Security in region has attracted a wide range of strategy, which has been headed by the majority of the major world.

He said the UAE investment is not for economic development, but with “secret military activities”, which threatens peace and stability.

“You do not have to bring money to Africa to build on roads or ports, but the aim is to provide a military impact, which can cause confusion and internal interventions,” President Guelleh said, ” ”

United Arab Emirates and African Strategy The coming comes to African issues in recent years, especially in the Horn of Africa.

Djibouti’s long-standing leader strikes a careful balance in a region riven by crises. That hasn’t stopped him from taking firm positions on Gaza, neighbouring Ethiopia and Eritrea, and what he calls the hostile policies of the UAE.

The regional setting has never been easy for Djibouti, a small country of 1.2 million people, surrounded by neighbors that have never fully accepted its existence. That setting has become even more precarious as missiles from Israel, the US, the Houthis and the Emiratis now crisscross the skies above the Red Sea. It would not take much for the country to become collateral damage in a growing storm.

It is recorded that the UAE has made a large investment in the ports, military bases have built several countries, and will use to strengthen his political and military impact in the region.

Countries like Eritrea, Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan have all experienced a direct or indirect impact from the UAE. For example:

The imar is formed by a military base in Berbera in Somaliland, with the disputed agreement.

He engaged in the Assab port and airbase in Eritrea as a strategic location for its military operations, particularly during the Saudi-led intervention in the Yemeni war port of Eritrea, mentioned that the war of Yemen.

There are also allegations that the UAE has been providing support to political or military groups in Somalia.

The suspended President Guelleh said such steps can lead: Political distances between neighboring countries.

An increase in external competition based on strategic interests.

Reducing African Union Redevelopment rely on foreign investment. In the internal insurgency caused by non-essential effects.

Guelleh noted his interview that the continent of Africa does not need “strengthening foreign powers”, but requires legitimate investment, respective, respecting for independence, and peace cooperation.

Global views and future effects

President Guelleh focuses on a rise in the debate on foreign intervention in Africa, with customs, Turkish, the United States, and political opponents.

Specifically, the Horn of Africa has become an important place:

The split between goods and fuel. International navigators of Babul Mandab. Military bases to protect terrorism threat or prevent military movement in a major political race Djibouti’s  is allowed military bases in many countries, but the government of Djibouti has often said that it maintains the political balance and national independence.

Guelleh’s statement reveals a sense of several African countries with the challenges of leading countries in the Gulf countries and others.
Although President Gelleh clearly shows them. his criticism can lead to. Or can be a key to review of the relationship between Africa and Gulf countries, particularly the imaad role in the Horn of Africa. It may be expected to lead to a major debate about how Africa can handle the growing impact of foreign power, without being lost in the country’s independence and stability.
