TEHRAN (ANN)— Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has praised six senior Iranian commanders for their years of service and dedication to defending Iran’s security, independence and territorial integrity.
In a message, Araqchi said the trust placed in the six commanders reflected their years of effort, extensive experience and valuable service in protecting Iran and safeguarding its national interests.
Araqchi said the commanders’ record of service had also been demonstrated during what he described as the two recent “imposed wars,” in which they showed steadfastness and contributed to Iran’s defense.
The foreign minister expressed hope that the commanders would continue to successfully carry out their responsibilities under the guidance and directives of Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, whom the message identifies as the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces.
Araqchi further called on the commanders to draw on their accumulated knowledge and experience from years of military service as they continue their responsibilities.
He expressed confidence that their experience would contribute to safeguarding Iran’s security, dignity and national power.
The message comes amid continued attention to Iran’s military and security leadership following recent regional tensions and conflicts.
