UAE stops about 200 Israeli passengers at Dubai International Airport

Dubai (ANN)-The UAE authorities arrested, on Monday morning, about 200 Israeli passengers on board a “Flydubai” plane, upon their arrival at Dubai International Airport. The reason for the arrest was not immediately clear.

Another flight that was to take off this morning from Ben Gurion Airport, near Tel Aviv, was halted. The plane’s passengers were unloaded until the problem is solved.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “consultations are underway to resolve the issue, and that senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are dealing with the issue now.”

Meanwhile, reports from the Israeli capital, Tel Aviv, say this caused in four flights of the Israeli airline Yusayer to Dubai were delayed today, and passengers were asked to “take into account the changes.”

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia agreed last Monday on allowing Israel to use its airspace for flights from Tel Aviv to Dubai.

The United Arab Emirates is the first Gulf state to sign the Abraham Agreement with Israel, with Bahrain and Sudan joining, while Saudi Arabia has been pushing for it,  but many Islamic countries have condemned it, calling it a violation of territorial integrity Palestine and the Holy Land in Jerusalem.

Iran, Turkey and other Islamic countries have strongly criticized the deal, with the Palestinians calling it an affront to their cause and handing over their land to Israel, which is already in control. Palestinian leaders have strongly condemned the deal.
