Cairo(ANN)-Ever Given was successfully towed off the Suez Canal, after a week-long blockade of global traffic and trade, and the resumption of human and traffic flows, which have become increasingly tolerant of the worries facing global trade.

Ever Given, the world’s longest container container vessel, has closed the Suez Canal for nearly a week, causing concern and loss of billions of dollars to the global economy, following the Suez Canal the world’s most important trade route between East and West have blocked.

The Tag boats, backed by tractors capable of digging, spent several days working to lift the ship, which was eventually removed from the shore.

Maritime transport websites have released images of the ship off the coast of the Suez Canal for the first time in seven days following an hour-long global effort to reopen the Suez Canal.

Officials at the Suez Canal say more than 300 ships were waiting to cross the canal, and the first three ships to cross the canal were ships carrying live cattle, said one of the authorities.

He added that 113 ships were scheduled to pass at 8 a.m. local time on Tuesday, as hundreds of vessels that have been trapped since last Tuesday prepare to restart their journeys.

On the other hand, According to SCA, about 370 ships were waiting for the passage on both sides of the canal, including 25 oil tankers.

Evergreen Line, which leases the Ever Given program, said it would be tested in seawater and that decisions related to the ship’s cargo would be made after the test.

About 12 percent of the world’s trade flows through the Suez Canal, making it the largest source of hard currency in Egypt. Economists say that according to a financial assessment released by a prominent banking institution, the blockade of the Suez Canal caused $ 9.6 billion in business losses every day; or, $ 400 million per hour.

Assessing and calculating Lloyd’s list, the shipments heading west across the main waterway are estimated to be worth about $ 5.1 billion per day, while cargo heading east is valued at about $ 4.5 billion.

The current blockade of the world’s most important aisle has taught the world the need to be protected from such a recurrence, and this incident has already raised the need to change the law of the ships that have passed the order and how it needs to be expanded and deep Suez Canal to extended.

The Suez Canal, the heart of the world, reopened today, and the world economy and trade have been breathing after a week.
