However, the Commission has until Tuesday to announce the winner, with schools re-opening on August 18, which is Thursday this week, and warned against disclosing unofficial results.

Just More than 26% of the votes were counted, Odinga got 54% and Ruto got 45%, according to the results released by the Kenyan Electoral Commission, which were shown on a big screen at the National Center in the capital of Nairobi according to Reuter’s news agency.

The agency news added the East Africa’s richest country and most active democracy held presidential, parliamentary and local elections on Tuesday.

However, the East African Electoral Commission (IEBC) has warned that the result of the election will not be announced, and it is expected to be released on Monday.

The law of Kenya states that if one of the two candidates does not receive more than 50% of the votes in the general election, there will be a second round. Sometimes conflicting media shows a close competition.

Kenyans are very concerned about the situation, remembering the massacres that happened in previous years’ elections, so they are very worried about who will be their next president, days after the end of the election.

But the question is who won the result of the election, which the Kenyan people do not have an answer to, as the answer is awaited from the electoral commission.
