British Parliament Debate on Recognition of Somaliland

London(ANN)- The British Parliament has called for the recognition of the Republic of Somaliland.

The debate on the Somaliland issue was presented by Gavin Williamson, a British MP who is campaigning for the recognition of Somaliland.

Tom Tugendhat, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament, said he supported MP Gavin Williamson’s proposal for recognition of Somaliland.

“This is an important debate. I will support Gavin Williamson’s proposal to speak for a society and a country that has been independent for many years, ”Tugendhat said.
