Mogadishu (ANN)-Somalia has named a New Cabinet former Al-Shabaab leader as a minister, Mukhtar Robow code name (Abu Mansur).

He was one of the founders of Al-Shabaab, and was the spokesman for the group for a long time, before we returned in December 2018.

Mukhtar Robow has been under house arrest for the last four years, as he was denied the right to move freely, but the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, added the names of the ministers he named on August 2, 2022, and Abu Mansur became a minister in the new cabinet of the country.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, said that before appointing the Council of Ministers, he consulted with the President, Parliament and government agencies, but it is not clear whether the appointment of Muqtar Robow was part of the consultation.

However, Abu Mansur’s appointment appears to have resulted from consultation with the President.

However, Abu Mansur’s appointment for minister in charge of religion appears to have resulted from consultation with the President.

Robow once placed a $5 million US dollar bounty on his head before he left Al Shabbat in 2013. For almost five years, he was separated from the Al-Shabab group and was in the field.
