Mekelle (ANN) – The situation in Tigray region has been severely disrupted by protracted fighting and conflict across Ethiopia, which is feared to spread to other parts of the region, including Eritrea. The war in Tigray became a catastrophe for the region.

Also, Sudan and Djibouti, where Sudan during the war began nine months ago, captured the agricultural land of Faqsha, which according to Sudan, Ethiopia has long held.

The State Department said in a statement on Friday that the situation in Tigray and the ongoing fighting there was “immediate and unconditional.”

Ned Price, the spokesman for the leadership of the 71st Secretary of State, said,

“Negotiation is not a military force, it is the right way to resolve the differences between the parties in the conflict in Ethiopia,” the State Department said in a statement. All parties must ensure that humanitarian assistance is not hampered. Electricity, telecommunications, and banking services must be restored in Tigray. ”

The warring parties in Ethiopia should immediately negotiate a ceasefire without preconditions and enter into inclusive political dialogue. The inflammatory rhetoric on both sides goes against these intentions, according to a statement posted on the US State Department’s Twitter account.

Meanwhile, the Tigrean People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) on Thursday issued a new list of demands before the ceasefire talks needed to be implemented, citing the TPLF, in a statement issued by the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF). Form an interim administration in Addis Ababa.

“It is becoming increasingly clear that the current system does not have the legal and constitutional obligations and where it can govern the country,” the TPLF said in a statement on Thursday.

They therefore added the statement, “With this in mind, we call for a commitment to the transitional and inclusive political process including the country’s major political actors to address the current political and constitutional crisis in the country.”The Tigray Liberation Front (TPLF) said in a statement.

The TPLF, meanwhile, reiterated in its statement that it also called for the withdrawal of Eritrean troops from the region, the restoration of telecommunications and banking services in the region, as well as the lifting of humanitarian aid restrictions.

The TPLF, meanwhile, rejected an endless ceasefire offered by Addis Ababa in late June, citing similar conditions, and continued fighting even after government forces withdrew from Mekelle.

In recent weeks, the TPLF has attacked and captured towns in neighboring Amhara and Afar regions, threatening to isolate Ethiopia. But the Ethiopian government has been accused of cutting off-key roads connecting the region to the country. The rest, which has resulted in the lack of access to much-needed aid supplies in the Tigray region.

The Addis Ababa government has not yet commented on the demands made by the TPLF. They meet these preliminary requirements, with USAID Chief Samantha Power set to head to the troubled region on Saturday in hopes of reducing what is currently the world’s worst famine in a decade.

The United Nations warns of a worsening humanitarian crisis in Ethiopia. UNICEF said on Friday that more than 100,000 children could face severe hunger next year as a result of heavy fighting in the northern Tigray region.

Pictures from Tigray are heart-wrenching, showing street children and frustrated families, all at risk of starvation. Food convoys were prevented from entering the region, According to Samantha Power.
