Ethiopian federal government claims victory over TPLF attacks

Addis Ababa (ANN) -The federal government of Ethiopia says it has achieved a series of attacks on TPLF fighters since the country was declared a state of emergency nine days ago.

The Ethiopian News Agency said in a statement that the group had carried out at least 20 attacks on the TPLF in the past nine days. .

The State of Emergency command has announced that the nation is recording military victories on all fronts, According to news released by the agency on Thursday.

According to a statement ENA, destructive group joint between the Afar Special Forces and the militia, the Ethiopian National Defense Forces and the Ethiopian National Defense Forces are cooperating. With the help of the Ethiopian air force, they inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy, defeating the invaders. Their dream of capturing Mille also failed, says the statement.

The Junta’s forces who had attempted to move to Akesta were forced back by Hawi, West Gojjam, East Gojjam and South Wollo militias of the Amhara region.

The command also indicated that the repeated attempts of attacks made by the invading forces at Maitsebry front have also been completely futile.

In Oromia region, North Shoa, West Shoa, Horogdudu, and East Welega districts, the regional Special Forces and militia, the federal police and the national defense coalition have registered major victories in destroying and arresting Shene terrorist group that was working to fulfill the mission of TPLF and killing civilians and looting and destroying property.

But there have been no independent reports confirming the government’s claims of success, and the TPLF has not commented on the federal government’s alleged attacks on TPLF bases in the north.

The encouraging responses being made by the general public to the national call have been contributing a lot to the victories so far registered, it added.

The command expressed its gratitude to the people and called on to continue their strong engagement to defend the sovereignty of the country.

Several measures have been taken on illegal attempts including money laundering, and the seizure of illegal weapons, it indicated.

Accordingly, the National Bank of Ethiopia, in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, has been instructed to take strict action against banks operating outside of previous laws and regulations.
