UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Somaliland speaks at the opening of Berbera International Airport

Berbera(ANN)-UAE Ambassador to Somaliland, Amb. Abdalla Alnaqbi, in a speech at the opening ceremony of the Berbera International Airport on Saturday, spoke about UAE government projects in Somaliland and plans.

UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Somaliland, Amb. Abdalla Alnaqbi, lauded the significant contribution made to the Berbera airport, noting that the UAE government has been instrumental in bringing the airport up to par with its international counterparts.

He described the modernization of the airport as an important step forward for Somaliland.

Ambassador Abdalla Alnaqbi, highlighted the shared history of the two fraternal peoples of the UAE and Somaliland, and noted the role of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy in supporting the Somali community.

Ambassador Alnaqbi on the other hand, pointed out the projects implemented by the UAE government in Somaliland, particularly in the cities of Burao, Hargeisa and Berbera and other projects they want to implement in Somaliland.
